British Park Golf - The Ins and the Outs!

From Distant beginnings...

Invented in the northerly town of Makubetsu, Japan, Park Golf has been avidly played since 1983

Back in 1995 when living in Hokkaido, I was introduced to the game first hand.  It was only in its 12th year then but kids, parents and grandparents were all having a great time, playing Park Golf together. Today there are more than 4 million players in Japan and about 800,000 in Korea.

Park Golf follows the rules of traditional golf but on a condensed format:

  • Holes are between 25 and 125 yards in length
  • Balls are 6cm in diameter
  • Holes are 20cm in diameter

Park Golf competitions in Japan are big, and fiercely contested events.

41 years on, the game's reach has expanded to Brazil, USA, Denmark and now the UK.

British Park Golf  is introducing The One Club, One Ball, One Hour of Fun sport to the UK where it will fit perfectluy into the British garden, in school grounds or indeed any parcel of under-used parkland.

If you operate a Historic House or similar attraction, Park Golf is an appealing way to increase footfall, lengthen visitor dwelltime and raise revenues via a simple pay-to-play operation.
